Our company also provides a live-in program for interested applicants. Station 37-1 is in close proximity to Harrisburg Area Community College which houses the Public Safety Center. Our station is also close to Penn State Harrisburg, Widener University of Law, and also Central Pennsylvania College just to name a few. Further information on the Live-in program can be found below. Rescue Fire Company can be your home away from home. All students are welcome to apply for membership into the live-in program. Advantages of being a live-in at Rescue Fire Company: -Internet access -The privilege of running with an established Rescue Company -Dorm Style Bunkroom -Kitchen at your Disposal -Access to the latest fire fighting gear and equipment -The skills obtained by running with not only a Heavy Rescue but also an Engine Company, Water Supply Company, Water Rescue Company, and Specialty Rescue Teams -With-in commuting distance of several local colleges Requirements: -Must be at least 18 years of age -Must maintain grades (as prescribed by the Chief) or maintain full time employment -Will be subject to a back-ground check and interview -Must help with all fund raising events and activities when possible -Must maintain a 20% call average
